Applying for Canadian Immigration visitor or permanent resident status is complicated and confusing.

But you may not want the full service of a consultant or lawyer. Given the importance of the application though, you want a professional review of the application before it goes to the department. This is why New Roots Consulting set up a file review option for individuals.

The consequences of errors on your application that you submit to Immigration Canada can be significant. It can mean long delays because the department could return the entire file to you, or worse, they proceed based on erroneous or misunderstood information. I have been doing these reviews for several years and it is rare to see an application review without serious errors.

Because of their complexity we recommend hiring a professional to assist you in preparing your application under certain categories. This review is not available for provincial nominee applications, compassionate applications or business applications.

Family Class - In Canada - $350.00
Spousal Sponsorship and Application - In or Outside of Canada - $300.00
Visitor, Student or Employment Permits - $200.00

**Questions and Answers**
How do I send a file to you?	If you live outside of Vancouver, Canada, then normally we receive the application by courier. Most important is that it be trackable.
What do you do with the file?	Normally after the review we return the file to you by courier.
Who pays the courier?	You pay to get the file here, we pay to send it back to you. This is included in the quoted fee.
Do you guarantee an applicant will be accepted?	This is a technical review of whether the file and documentation conforms with Immigration Canada standards. It does not include an assessment of the merits of an applcation. We guarantee the application will not be rejected because the key elements were missing. Understandably we are not the decisionmakers on the merits of your application. We can tell you how it looks in comparison to the hundreds of files we have prepared and reviewed.
I have part of the application completed. Will you help prepare portions of files that I do not understand?	Yes but not as part of a file review. Contact us for rates for other services. This service is for a file review only. It is for those who are confident they have the right direction but want the additional security to confirm they have prepared it correctly. My experience is that to do partial files is more work than taking on an entire case and working with you as your consultant for the entire application process.
Can I ask you questions about the content?	Not in advance of the review. We have a discussion with you that covers what you have prepared and deficiencies. If you have questions in advance about what to include or not include with an application you should hire a consultant to fully assist you with the application. We will tell you whether what you have is adequate. For example if you have a criminal conviction, if you are uncertain whether you are admissible, then contact me for an opinion - not a file review.
How do I pay you?	We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express, cheques, or money orders.

How Long does it take?	We send the file to you within two working days

- unregistered or 'ghost' consultants
- other lawyers or registered consultants.
